This track is built around the pianos played by my dear friend Fred Ehresmann and recorded at forward studios in Rome. They have been down sampled, slowed and tuned down which gives them an uneasy quality,
There are three cello lines played by the Uber talented Eliza Carew recorded at sound gallery studios for a one thousand birds session.
Al Swainger also adds some bass and pedal power.
The buzzards and red kites circle the melodies and the rising refrain at the close conjure for me a sonic image of thermals lifting the birds of prey ever higher.
