Neon Forest

Neon Forest was part of the One Thousand Birds recording sessions. It is a continuation of the sounds and sonic processes developed on 'La Forest Assente' and 'The Electrician' layers of sounds manipulated, treated and placed like sonic mosaic to form a wide sonic spectral image.
The track has had a new injection of ambience and groove during lockdown with the addition of some beautiful bass and FX pedal work from master bass player Al Swainger.

Richard Barbieri also features in the forest populating the virtual trees with his unique sonic bird sounds (created on the System 700 and soft synths). A return to specific synth programming.

There are some Hitchcock appearances from Raphael Ravenscroft and a host of other players as well as some wood, wire and sound design provided by GRICE.

This is the sort of sound that I imagine you might hear in the forests around the world just as the sun goes down (and there is no-one around to witness these crazed symphonies).
